Littondale Fete

Littondale Fete is fast approaching!

On Saturday 12th August, we are looking forward to an afternoon of entertainment and competitions for all the family. The afternoon of fun starts at 1pm with Skipton Brass Band and Littondale ‘4’ Road Race; sponsored by The Queens Arms, Litton.

There will be the usual fell races for all ages, Fancy dress (anything you like, the fancier the better, no theme this year!), children’s races, Dog show and all the usual stalls (White Elephant, Books, Tombola, etc.) & new attractions too; including Badger & Bodger’s Cani-orienteering competition, as seen on the BBC TV show ‘Me and My Dog’. Just in case all the activity makes you hungry, tea & cakes will be served in the Village Hall and there will be a hot dog stand and ice creams on the green. The day will close with the Strongmen and Strongwomen competitions.

This year in the Village Hall there will be craft competitions for an Edible monster, hand print picture, painted stone and picture in any medium (including photograph); with classes for pre-school, primary school, secondary school and adults, so everyone can have a go.

If you can & would like to help in any way with the Fete, (Teas, Stalls, setting up, tidying away etc.), it would be very much appreciated. Please let Mark (770419), Ruth (770292), Sarah (770282) or Heather (770050) know.
